I encourage initial contact by phone so that I can answer any questions ,and then if you would like to meet to discuss your difficulties more fully,I can make an appointment to assess whether confidential counselling would be helpful.We would meet at the most convenient location for you,either City of London or West Hampstead , in a private consulting room in a relaxed ,secure environment.

SCOPE OF WORK

I work with individuals and couples who are experiencing emotional upset and pain.There may be a crisis in relationships,or other events which have caused distress.
If these feelings persist,it can lead to a sense of isolation so it is important to obtain some support . I work with a range of problems including:

depression and anxiety

Stress/effective coping mechanisms

Relationship difficulties

Low self esteem/lack of confidence

Parenting issues

Separation and Divorce

Bereavement

Issues arising from illness and disability

Eating Disorders

Compulsive Disorders/Phobias

I also offer, in certain circumstances, telephone and video counselling via Skype.

DURATION OF THERAPY

This will be discussed at an initial assessment session.

Some people only need a few sessions but others may benefit from a longer period of therapy.

CONFIDENTIALITY

The sessions are completely confidential ,and as a member of the UKCP and the Association of Family Therapists,I observe strict ethical guidelines.

REFERRALS

I am happy for people to get in touch initially by phone for an informal discussion. Alternatively, contact can be made in by email ,or by referral from GPs and other professionals. I operate an equal opportunities policy and have a sliding scale if there are financial difficulties.
